Private networks are growing — but the market is becoming harder to read and harder to win. The latest update of STL Partners’ Private networks deployment tracks records publicly announced private network, up to May 2026.
STL Partners’ Private networks deployment tracker has tracked publicly announced private network deployments worldwide since 2014. This rich dataset provides a view of market dynamics, revealing who is most active, where deployments are taking place, and what they are being used for.
This report seeks to understand why in 2026 it is more important than ever for private network providers to develop partnerships and strong GTM strategies.
STL Partners’ Private networks deployment tracker
The data featured in this report can be accessed here. This iteration of the Private network deployment tracker includes publicly announced private network deployments up to 15 May 2026. 107 new entries have been added since the previous update in August 2025.
Each private network deployment is counted separately – so, in the case of large multi-site contracts, each site has been entered into the database separately. However, if a multi-site deal is announced, but only a portion of the sites are slated for immediate action, while others are planned for work to begin at an unknown point in the future, only the active portion will be counted.
STL Partners estimates that the private network deployments about which we have been able to find public information represent around a fifth of all live mobile private networks by mid-2026. We look forward to discussing the findings with you. Please contact the author here.
