Skywatch telescope offers deep-dive coverage of telcos' live satellite services, offering insights into how telcos are commercialising these offerings.
A quarterly snapshot of telecom operators with live satellite services, profiling the commercial models behind their partnerships with satellite operators
It forms part of STL Partners’ Skywatch project, launched in July 2025. From April 2026, Skywatch will be restructured around four core deliverables to provide a more targeted and in-depth analysis, as outlined below:

Skywatch telescope intends to cover telcos with commercially launched satellite services, whose commercial models with satellite operators are more established and for which there is public data on tariffs, subscribers and service volume. Each profile of a telco covers its satellite connectivity offerings across the following areas:
- Company involvement with satellite
- Satellite strategy & positioning
- Roadmap & next steps
- Satellite service portfolio
