This report presents the key findings of STL Partners’ new demand forecast for private networks. Its purpose is to:
- Identify the total revenue across the value chain: device, application, core & edge infrastructure, RAN software and equipment, network platform, and integration and managed services;
- Assess the demand across 14 verticals that are currently leveraging private networks for different types of sites and use cases;
- Output a full set of results for 33 countries and 7 regions over the 2024–2030 period per vertical, technology, and deployment model.
This report is accompanied by a dashboard which presents a summary of our model output and the associated graphics for the global and regional overview.
Private networks addressable revenue will reach US$21 billion by 2030
High-level findings from the model indicate that:
- The total private networks addressable market will grow from US$1.2 billion in 2024 to US$21 billion in 2030 at a CAGR of 62% over the forecast period.
- This growth is driven by the increased number of enterprises that adopt private network solutions as well as the higher spend on applications as enterprises explore more use cases beyond basic connectivity.
- Industrial verticals such as manufacturing, transport and logistics are leading the adoption worldwide as their remote locations (in most cases), complex environments and mission-critical applications benefit largely from private network solutions.
- Adoption varies significantly among geographical regions. This regional disparity is influenced by several factors including the level of industrial development, spectrum regulations and the availability of private networks spectrum, the level of demand from the enterprise sector, and the available solutions from telcos and other service providers.
