Martin Geddes

Chief Analyst & Founder STL Partners / Telco 2.0™

Martin is one of the world’s leading thinkers on the telecommunications industry and is frequently asked to speak at major industry events and privately for operators and vendors. He has 14 years experience in telecoms and IT, with a background in large systems development with Oracle and in product strategy at Sprint-Nextel. He is well known for his Telepocalypse telecom strategy blog, cited by Business Week, Forbes and Wall Street Journal and for his recent analysis on STL Partners’ Telco 2.0™ blog. Author of the Telco 2.0™ research on Future Broadband Business Models, 2-Sided Business Model, and Voice & Messaging 2.0. He is regularly engaged by companies across the industry to offer strategic insight into strategy and marketing at a senior level because, as one VP put it recently, he has ‘a remarkable vision and intuition of the future of the telecoms industry’. He has a MA in Mathematics from Oxford University.

Dr Norman Lewis

Associate Director, STL Partners /Telco 2.0™ Initiative

A worldwide expert on future trends in Voice and messaging, and co-author of the Voice & Messaging 2.0 research. Dr Norman Lewis is also the Chief Strategy Officer, Wireless Grids Corporation, USA. Prior to joining WGC, he was the Director of Technology Research for Orange UK, formerly the Home Division of France Telecom where he was at the forefront of developing an integrated Telco approach to the emerging Web2.0 ecosphere. Currently the Chairman of the ITU's TELECOM Forum Programme Committee and an advisory board member of the Ecomm08 programme committee. Previously an Executive Board member of the MIT Communications Futures Programme.

Alex Harrowell

Senior Analyst, STL Partners / Telco 2.0™

Key Telco 2.0™ blogger and co-author of the research on Future Broadband Business Models, 2-Sided Business Model, and Voice & Messaging 2.0. Alex used to write for leading industry magazine Mobile Communications International, where he specialised in network infrastructure and related issues. He's been blogging independently since 2003, a passion which saw him short-listed for UK newspaper The Guardian's Political Blog of the Year award in 2004. His specialist subjects include MVNOs, IMS, SDP, core networks, and UMTS-TDD, as well as telecoms policy and economics.
