Telecoms operators are potentially well-positioned to manage the digital identities of their customers. Telcos capture (verified) customer information and maintain a billing relationship with their customers; this should allow telcos to build a digital identity solution that would allow easier access to and enhance the experience of a range of digital services. However this area is complex and designing a strategy requires a detailed understanding of the potential challenges and competitors.


STL's Approach

STL helped a European converged incumbent operator develop its identity monetisation strategy. This involved presenting an overview of the landscape, including detailed case studies of telco/digital player’s identity strategies, developing a range of detailed use cases across different industry verticals and testing propositions/use cases with potential partner companies.
